...than Pete Seeger singing a Woody Guthrie song in front of the Lincoln Memorial in the lead up to Barack Obama's inauguration?
This video may be taken down soon, so if you miss it, I offer you a pale substitute: You can read about the entire concert in the Washington Post.
I am such a Pete Seeger fan-girl. You should have heard me squeal when I discovered the video this morning.
BIG CHANGES AFOOT.

Between my Junior and Senior in high school I had the opportunity to see Pete Seeger with James Brown, up close, in concert at the Luther League convention at Madison Square Garden in NYC. We had a great time singing "Where Have All The Flowers Gone" and many other Seeger tunes.
Our convention theme song was "Bridge Over Troubled Water," and Pete led us in singing every verse. The most memorable event of the concert was when James Brown did one of his famous dance moves and split his pants in front of 15,000 teenagers.
Ironically, this weekend I was going through boxes of memories and found my scrapbook covering that wonderful 2-week trip in the summer of 1970. Three buses filled with teenagers from my hometown in Iowa traveled to Washington, D.C., Gettysburg, Buffalo/ Niagra Falls before spending a week in NYC.
