The Neighborhood

Yesterday John and I talked to some rental agencies about renting a flat. We have an appointment to see a flat on Monday, and will be calling to make more appointments this week.

We have explored the large department store, Jarrold.

And the grocery store, Tesco.

I picked up a guide that lists things going on in town. Then I discovered they also have a website: Outline.

I've been looking through our Britain guide books and discovered this: The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Maybe they take storytellers...

We have purchased umbrellas and a power strip (so that John can plug in all the components to make Vonage work).

Today we went for a walk in the rain. You hear that it rains a lot in England, and apparently this has been an especially rainy year. So I suppose we should get used to it.

The temperature has been in the high 50s to low 60s (Fahrenheit) pretty much every day. I have discovered this is warm enough for a t-shirt if you walk for long time.

Here are some pictures of the neighborhood:

Is that giraffe in the corner Geoffrey from Toys R Us ?

Isn't England like a step back into time? There are so many things to see and do. Grandma Mary really enjoyed the white cliffs of Dover.
The trains can take you any where, so enjoy.

The giraffe is in Jarrolds. They have a lego creation on the stair landing between each floor.
